Carli Walter Family

Carli Walter brings with her nearly a decade of experience practicing functional medicine, specializing in hormone optimization and wellness.

Carli’s passion for health + fitness started in her college years and led her to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Cal Poly – San Luis Obispo, then later graduating from Midwestern University in 2011 with a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Her career started in Urgent Care where she gained a broad understanding of health + disease across all life stages, economic statuses, genders and races.

However, she saw the traditional medicine way of treating disease was rarely satisfactory for true healing.
After starting a family, Carli realized the importance of practicing daily healthy habits and curating a healthy home + lifestyle for her family to thrive. She began the endless journey of learning and growing in the knowledge of functional medicine as she worked in a wellness clinic, helping thousands of patients thrive in their own lives.

In 2017, at the age of 34 and with three little children at home, Carli was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer.
By combining the best of both traditional medicine and holistic medicine, she was able to navigate the challenges of chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery, and by the grace of God was fully healed.
This experience has given Carli a unique perspective to relate to her patients, both in heart and knowledge.
Now at Lume Wellness, Carli is privileged to serve you so that you, too, may thrive.
